Position Overview

As a Product Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical resource for our dealer network and end users throughout your assigned territory. Acting as the technical liaison between Eggersmann North America and equipment in the field, you will provide expert support through remote diagnostics, on-site service, technical training, and application support.
Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maximizing equipment uptime

Key Responsibilities

  •  Develop expert-level knowledge of the complete Eggersmann mobile recycling equipment product portfolio.
  • Travel regularly to dealer locations and customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues (typically three to four days per week).
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and provide effective troubleshooting and repair solutions through both remote support and on-site service.
  • Provide technical support by phone, email, and through the company's service ticketing system.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to dealers, service technicians, and end users.
  • Collaborate with dealer service technicians to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and return equipment to peak operating condition.
  • Plan and deliver technical training programs covering the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and proper care of Eggersmann equipment.
  • Support dealers and customers with equipment upgrades, product improvements, field modifications, commissioning, and operator training.
  • Assist with equipment demonstrations, machine commissioning, dealer training events, and industry trade shows.
  • Gather field feedback related to product performance, design, maintenance, warranty, and safety, and communicate recommendations that support continuous product improvement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or providing technical support for heavy industrial or mobile equipment.
  • Experience with recycling, agricultural, construction, or similar heavy equipment is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management or ticketing systems is preferred.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, practical manner.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and dealer partners.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Annual base salary of $90,000–$120,000.00. based on experience and qualifications.
  • Paid on a biweekly basis.

Business Expense Reimbursement

Eggersmann North America Inc. reimburses reasonable and necessary business expenses incurred while performing your job duties, including airfare, rental vehicles, lodging, business meals, customer entertainment, and other approved travel expenses. Reimbursement is also provided for business-related phone expenses. All air travel must be booked in economy class.
